Compaction

Compaction is one of the most overlooked parts of gravel driveway installation and restoration.  Without proper compaction:

• gravel shifts excessively
• potholes form faster
• washboarding develops
• surfaces become loose
• edges break down
• water penetrates deeper into the structure

At Drama Free, material is compacted in controlled lifts whenever necessary to improve density, durability, and long-term performance.

The goal is to create a tighter, more stable surface that handles traffic, weather, and Michigan winters more effectively.
